Meet Dr. Malik

 

Dr. Humera Malik is a distinguished ABIM Board-certified Internist and holistic health care champion who launched Potomac Health & Wellness (PHW) to provide advanced, personalized Direct Specialty Care (DSC) for men and women. As an integrative, plant-based, IFM Functional Medicine (FM) Practitioner, she applies root cause medicine to successfully reverse chronic medical conditions, rejuvenate healthspan, improve lifespan, and increase overall quality of life. As an ILADS Lyme Literate Medical Doctor (LLMD), she embraces the challenge of complex patients, especially those with medically unexplained symptoms (MUS), including undiagnosed Lyme Disease (LD), tick co-infections, Chronic Fatigue syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME), fibromyalgia, functional gastrointestinal disorders, long haul illnesses (Long COVID). When she is not in the clinic, Dr. Malik enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
